MTV Video Music Awards 2014: ospiti e cantanti sul palco

Tutto pronto per gli attesissimi MTV Video Music Awards 2014 in programma il 24 agosto al Forum di Inglewood in California e che potranno essere seguiti in diretta televisiva su MTV alle 3:00 del mattino di lunedì 25 agosto, oppure in differita alle 21:00 del 25 su MTV Music (canale 67 del DTT) o con i sottotitoli martedì 26 agosto alle 23:00 su MTV. La line-up degli ospiti è fenomenale, con le popstar più cool del momento che si esibiranno dal vivo davanti al pubblico dei VMA 2014 o calcheranno il palco nelle vesti di presenter d’eccezione.

Ecco tutti i nomi: cominciamo da Beyoncé, regina indiscussa di questa edizione con ben otto nomination tra cui quelle per Video of the Year, Best Female e Best Choreography. Queen Bey si esibirà sul palco e riceverà il prestigioso Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

Ci saranno anche i Maroon 5, alla loro prima esibizione agli MTV Video Music Awards, il pluri-premiato Usher, gli australiani 5 Seconds of Summer e il nuovo fenomeno pop Ariana Grande, che canterà sul palco il suo nuovo singolo Break Free contenuto nell’album My Everything.
Da non perdere poi l’attesissima performance di Nicki Minaj con Anaconda, per un’esibizione che ‘rischia’ di emulare quella di Miley Cyrus dello scorso anno. La procace rapper si esibirà anche insieme ad Arianna Grande e a Jessie J, con le tre che canteranno per la prima volta dal vivo la loro hit Bang Bang.

Immancabile una delle star più amate del momento: la bellissima rapper australiana Iggy Azalea, che delizierà la platea californiana con una performance della sua Black Widow duettando insieme a Rita Ora. Saranno sul palco anche il cantante inglese Sam Smith e la due volte vincitrice del Best Female Video, Taylor Swift, fresca di nuovo singolo, la travolgente Shake it Off.

E sul palco del Forum di Inglewood ci saranno tante altre star che per l’occasione vestiranno i panni di presenter. Stiamo parlando di Lorde, Demi Lovato, Taylor Schilling, Laverne Cox e Uzo Aduba del cast della serie tv Orange is the New Black, Dylan O’Brien dalla serie Teen Woolf insieme alla protagonista di Vampire Diaries Nina Dobrev, il cantante pop Jason Derulo, Trey Songz, Gwen Stefani e Kim Kardashian.

MTV Video Music Awards 2014 nomination: in testa Beyoncé con 8 candidature

Sono state annunciate le nomination degli MTV Video Music Awards 2014, l’evento giunto alla sua 31^ edizione che ogni anno premia il meglio della musica mainstream. In vista della cerimonia di consegna, prevista il prossimo 24 agosto al Forum di Inglewood, nella contea di Los Angeles, i grandi favoriti sono Beyoncé, con ben 8 candidature, davanti a Eminem e Iggy Azalea che si sono invece fermati a 7.

La bellissima popstar Beyoncé Knowles, che durante la sua carriera si è già portata a casa 11 MTV VMAs, proverà a incrementare il suo importante bottino aggiudicandosi uno o più riconoscimenti nelle categorie Video of the Year (con Drunk in Love feat. il consorte Jay-Z), Best Female Video, Best Collaboration, Best Direction, Best Choreography, Best Editing, Best Cinematography e Best Video with a Social Message.

Dovrà però guardarsi da avversari molto agguerriti: per esempio la cinquina della categoria più prestigiosa, Video of the Year, è completata da altri pezzi da 90 come Miley Cyrus con Wrecking Ball, Pharrell Williams con Happy, Iggy Azalea (feat. Charli XCX) con Fancy e Sia con Chandelier, tutti ugualmente in grado di vincere l’ambito premio.

Tra le altre nomination degli MTV Video Music Awards 2014 spiccano quelle delle rivelazioni dell’anno 5 Seconds of Summer (Artist to Watch per She Looks So Perfect), Ed Sheeran (Best Male Video per Sing), Lorde (Best Female Video e Best Rock Video per Royals), Imagine Dragons (Best Rock Video per Demons) e Kiesza (Best Choreography per Hideaway). Eccellente anche la performance della giovanissima Ariana Grande, gratificata di 3 candidature nelle importantissime categorie Best Female Video, Best Pop Video e Best Collaboration (tutte per Problem feat. Iggy Azalea).

Ariana Grande è anche una delle performer annunciate della serata, dove si sa già che canterà Break Free insieme al producer Zedd, e con lei ci saranno anche Usher e i già citati 5 Seconds of Summer. Ovviamente nelle prossime settimane verranno annunciati gli altri ospiti d’onore che si esibiranno dal vivo sul palco del Forum.

Come sempre la cerimonia di premiazione degli MTV Video Music Awards 2014 verrà trasmessa in diretta TV anche in Italia su MTV nella notte tra il 24 e il 25 agosto (con repliche per i non nottambuli nei giorni successivi).
