Oggi vi presentiamo un magnifico video che ripercorre i migliori brani anni ’80, con i titoli e le immagini delle canzoni straniere più belle e famose del decennio di Drive In e della Milano da bere. La clip parte proprio dal 1980 con Enola Gay degli Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, uno dei pezzi simbolo di quell’epoca, e prosegue con il top della musica anni ’80, passando con estrema disinvoltura da Soft Cell (Tainted Love) ai Toto (Africa) e da Michael Jackson (Billie Jean) ai Police (Every breath you take).
Guardando il video incontreremo nuovamente vecchi amici che avevamo un po’ perso per strada: pensiamo per esempio agli australiani Men at Work, fenomenali in quel periodo con Down Under, ma anche con l’altrettanto splendida Who Can It Be Now. Oppure Boy George e i suoi Culture Club, dominatori delle classifiche con Karma Chamaleon. O ancora gli indimenticabili Tears fo Fears di Shout, ma anche di Everybody Wants to Rule the World e Sowing the Seeds of Love.
Nel nostro video ci sono brani anni ’80 anche di leggende che hanno attraversato indenni almeno tre decenni di grande musica: pensiamo per esempio ai Duran Duran, a David Bowie (che qui ritroviamo con la meravigliosa Let’s Dance), ai Depeche Mode, a George Michael, ai Queen, ai Simple Minds, al boss Bruce Springsteen (per lui abbiamo scelto l’inno Glory Days), allo stesso Sting e naturalmente agli U2, che proprio negli anni ’80 hanno forse scritto le loro migliori canzoni.
Considerate da molti tra le più belle canzoni pop/rock nella storia della musica, i brani anni ‘80 hanno contrassegnato un’intera epoca e, superando il logorio del tempo, sono rimaste attualissime anche ai giorni nostri, continuando a entusiasmare sia chi ha vissuto quel decennio che le nuove e nuovissime generazioni.
